Teneil MacNeil attended Osgoode Hall Law School, having been called to the Bar in 2007, and having made partner at a national law firm in 2016. Currently, she practices independently, with a focus on fertility and adoption law, having herself adopted a child, and having also expanded her family by way of assisted reproduction (gamete donation). To be recognized - Teneil’s unwavering commitment to education, not only in terms of the law but also with respect to the psychological implications unique to family building, noting that Teneil’s lived experience has provided her with a profound understanding of the issues of developmental trauma, attachment, openness, etc. The result? Teneil is uniquely skilled in being able to relate to clients and their oftentimes  tumultuous journeys, beyond which, having surrounded herself with a strong network of professionals and organizations, she is able to connect clients to a variety of supports, many of which she believes to be invaluable.

In addition to practicing both fertility and adoption law, Teneil remains true to her roots as a civil litigator and continues to assist clients with various types of legal disputes in matters quite distinct from family building. With 18 years of litigation experience behind her, Teneil brings a wealth of knowledge, strategy, and dedication to achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
